Winning $390K Lottery Ticket Sold At CT Package Store

One CT Lottery player is feeling extra lucky after cashing in a winning ticket worth six figures.

In New Haven County, a CT Lottery player from Waterbury who chose not to disclose a name won $390,000 playing "Lucky For Life" on a ticket sold at Amodeo's Highland Package on Highland Avenue in Waterbury on Wednesday, March 2.

"Lucky for Life" players choose five numbers between 1 and 48 and one "yellow" Lucky Ball from 1 to 18. Drawings are held each night at approximately 10:30 p.m. 

According to CT Lottery, “when a winning scratch ticket is validated through a Lottery Retailer's terminal, the remaining number of unclaimed prizes for that prize level is automatically updated reflecting one less prize. Until the individual or group presents their winning ticket for claim at CT Lottery Headquarters, the identity of a winner is unknown.”

That wasn't the only big prize won by CT Lottery players. Other winners of prizes of $10,000 or more include: 

  • A winning $20,832 "PLAY 4DAY" ticket sold at the New Fairfield Mobil was cashed in on Monday, Feb. 28;
  • A winning $100,000 "Powerball" ticket sold at Sully's Mobil Mart in New London was cashed in on Feb. 28;
  • On Feb. 28, Lake Charles resident Elizabeth Robertson won $10,000 playing "30X Cash 9th Edition" on a ticket sold at the Alltown Orange;
  • On Feb. 28, Union City, NJ resident Felicia Kulig won $10,000 playing "20X Cash 7th Edition" on a ticket sold at Nanglo Foodland in Newington;
  • On Feb. 28, West Suffield resident Witold Ostrowski won $10,000 playing "$100,000 Cashword 11" on a ticket sold at the West Suffield Mini Mart;
  • On Tuesday, March 1, Lake Charles resident Elizabeth Robertson won $10,000 playing "30X Cash 9th Edition" on a ticket sold at the Alltown Orange;
  • A winning $100,000 "Super 10s" ticket sold at North Branford Gas in North Branford was cashed in on March 1;
  • A winning $10,000 "30X Cash 8th Edition" ticket sold at the Monroe Food Mart in Monroe was cashed in on March 1;
  • On March 1, New Milford resident Jeffrey Emmons won $13,000 playing "KENO" on a ticket sold at 7-Eleven in New Milford;
  • On March 1, Hartford resident Yekini Afolabi won $20,000 playing "Power 2X" on a ticket sold at the Broad Street Mart in Hartford;
  • On March 1, Plantsville resident Carol Diana won $10,000 playing "10X Cash 15th Edition" on a ticket sold at Dairy Farms in Southington;
  • On March 1, Wethersfield resident Kathleen Thompson won $20,000 playing "200X" on a ticket sold at The Corner Store in Wethersfield;
  • On March 2, Norwalk resident Nicholas Bitondo won $30,000 playing "30X Cash 9th Edition" on a ticket sold at Hills Confectionery in Norwalk;
  • On March 2, Port Chester, NY resident Maria Laura won $30,000 playing "30X Cash 8th Edition" on a ticket sold at Cumberland Farms in Norwalk;
  • On March 2, Ansonia resident Pierre Andrade won $10,000 playing "30X Cash 9th Edition" on a ticket sold at the Main Street Shell in Ansonia.
